In addition to the many cultural and recreational activities available in
our neighborhood, The West 74th Street Home offers a varied and lively
schedule in-house of classes and activities. We present poetry, music, art,
baking, exercise and meditation classes; discussion groups; popular and
art-house films; game programs, like Mah-Jongg and our annual bowling
tournament; and holiday events, such as a fancy New Year's Eve ball The West
74th Street Home also arranges many field trips to take advantage of
activities outside of our neighborhood, such as excursions to the New York
Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, and the Circle Line cruise around Manhattan.
Our busy social and recreational program provides our residents with an
opportunity to participate in a relaxed, yet active lifestyle.
